SMU Introduces New Feature to Activate ID Cards

In an effort to streamline processes and enhance accessibility for students, Singapore Management University (SMU) has introduced a new feature that allows students to activate their ID cards with ease. The new feature, which was launched earlier this month, is part of SMU’s ongoing efforts to enhance campus technology and improve the overall student experience.

The activation process is simple and straightforward, with students being able to activate their ID cards online through the university’s secure portal. This feature eliminates the need for students to visit the campus in person to activate their cards, making the process more convenient and efficient for all parties involved.

“We are always looking for ways to enhance the student experience at SMU, and the introduction of this new feature is just one example of how we are leveraging technology to make life easier for our students,” said Professor Tan Eng Chye, President of SMU. “By allowing students to activate their ID cards online, we are reducing the administrative burden on both students and staff, and ultimately creating a more seamless and efficient process for everyone.”

The new feature has been well-received by students, who appreciate the convenience and simplicity of being able to activate their ID cards from anywhere at any time. “I activated my ID card online last week, and it was so easy and quick,” said Sarah Lim, a second-year student at SMU. “I didn’t have to wait in line or go to the campus, which saved me a lot of time. It’s great to see SMU implementing new technology to make things easier for us.”

In addition to the activation feature, SMU has also implemented other technological advancements to improve the student experience on campus. For example, the university recently introduced a mobile app that allows students to access important campus information, submit assignments, and communicate with professors and peers conveniently from their smartphones.

“We are constantly looking for ways to leverage technology to enhance the student experience at SMU,” said Professor Tan Eng Chye. “With the introduction of these new features, we are paving the way for a more efficient and user-friendly campus environment that meets the needs of our students in today’s digital age.”

Moving forward, SMU plans to continue investing in technology and innovation to improve the overall student experience on campus. The university is committed to providing students with the tools and resources they need to succeed in their academic pursuits and beyond.
