Fort Bragg ID Card Facility Extends Hours to Better Serve Military Community
Fort Bragg, NC – In an effort to better serve the military community, the ID Card Facility at Fort Bragg has announced extended hours of operation. The facility, located on Reilly Road near the All American Gate, is now open Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm, and on Saturdays from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.
The decision to extend the hours of the ID Card Facility comes after feedback from service members and their families, who expressed the need for more convenient access to the services provided at the facility. With the new extended hours, military personnel and their dependents will have greater flexibility in obtaining and renewing their identification cards, as well as accessing other important services.
Colonel John Smith, the Garrison Commander at Fort Bragg, explained the reasoning behind extending the hours of the ID Card Facility. “We understand the importance of having access to these essential services, and we want to make sure that our service members and their families have all the support they need. By extending the hours of the ID Card Facility, we hope to provide more convenience and flexibility to those who rely on these services.”
The ID Card Facility at Fort Bragg provides a range of services, including issuing new identification cards, renewing expired cards, updating information, and providing assistance with lost or stolen cards. Additionally, the facility offers services for retired military personnel and their dependents, as well as reservists and National Guard members.
Sergeant First Class Maria Rodriguez, who works at the ID Card Facility, emphasized the importance of the services provided at the facility. “Having a valid identification card is essential for accessing military benefits and services, so it’s crucial that service members and their families have access to these services. We’re here to help make that process as smooth and efficient as possible.”
The extended hours of the ID Card Facility have already been well-received by the military community at Fort Bragg. Staff Sergeant David Johnson, a member of the 82nd Airborne Division, praised the convenience of the new hours. “I used to have to rush to the ID Card Facility after work, but now I can go on Saturdays when I have more time. It’s a big relief to have that flexibility.”
In addition to extending its hours of operation, the ID Card Facility at Fort Bragg has also implemented safety protocols to protect visitors and staff during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. These protocols include requiring masks to be worn at all times, maintaining social distancing, and frequently sanitizing common areas.
Colonel Smith emphasized the importance of prioritizing the health and safety of those who visit the ID Card Facility. “We want to ensure that our facility is a safe and welcoming environment for all members of the military community. By implementing these safety protocols, we are taking the necessary steps to protect everyone who comes through our doors.”
As the ID Card Facility at Fort Bragg continues to serve the military community with extended hours and enhanced safety measures, service members and their families can rest assured that they have access to the essential services they need. With a renewed commitment to convenience and efficiency, the facility is poised to make a positive impact on the lives of those who serve our country.
