FORT MYER, VA – Residents and employees of Fort Myer are now able to access improved security measures with the new Fort Myer ID card system. The new ID cards are being distributed to all military personnel, civilian employees, and contractors working on the base, providing a more streamlined and efficient way to verify individuals’ identities and access levels.
The implementation of the Fort Myer ID card system comes in response to growing security concerns at military installations across the country. With threats of terrorism and unauthorized access on the rise, Fort Myer is taking proactive steps to ensure the safety of its personnel and facilities.

For residents of Fort Myer, the new ID card system offers peace of mind knowing that their base is taking proactive steps to enhance security measures. “I feel much safer knowing that only authorized personnel are able to access the base,” said Mary Thompson, a civilian employee who has worked at Fort Myer for over 10 years. “The new ID cards make me feel confident that our base is secure.”
