Hillsborough County to Introduce New ID Card Program

In an effort to better serve its residents and improve access to government services, Hillsborough County officials have announced the launch of a new ID card program. The program, which will be available to all residents of Hillsborough County regardless of immigration status, aims to provide individuals with a secure form of identification that can be used to access a wide range of services and benefits.

The Hillsborough County ID card, which will be issued by the county’s office of the Clerk of the Circuit Court and Comptroller, is designed to be a versatile form of identification that can be used for a variety of purposes. In addition to serving as a form of government-issued identification, the card can also be used to access services such as public transportation, library services, and recreational facilities.

“We are excited to launch this new program, which will provide our residents with a convenient and secure form of identification that can be used to access a wide range of services,” said Hillsborough County Clerk of the Circuit Court and Comptroller, Cindy Stuart. “We believe that this ID card will help to make life easier for our residents, especially those who may not have access to other forms of identification.”

The Hillsborough County ID card will be available to residents of all ages, including children, and will cost $25 for adults and $15 for minors. The card will be valid for a period of four years and can be renewed for an additional fee. Applicants will need to provide proof of identity and residence in Hillsborough County in order to be eligible for the card.

The introduction of the Hillsborough County ID card program has been met with enthusiasm from local residents, many of whom see it as a positive step towards improving access to services and benefits for all members of the community. “I think this new ID card program is a great idea,” said Hillsborough County resident, Maria Rodriguez. “It will make it easier for all residents to access the services they need and will help to ensure that everyone in our community has the identification they need to participate fully in society.”

In addition to serving as a form of identification, the Hillsborough County ID card will also be equipped with a number of security features to help prevent counterfeit or fraudulent use. The card will include a photo of the cardholder, as well as a unique barcode that can be scanned to verify the card’s authenticity. In addition, the card will be printed on tamper-evident material to help prevent alterations or falsifications.

Officials in Hillsborough County are hopeful that the new ID card program will help to improve access to government services and benefits for all residents of the county. “We believe that this program will be a valuable resource for our community, helping to ensure that all residents have the identification they need to access the services and benefits that are available to them,” said Clerk of the Circuit Court and Comptroller Cindy Stuart.

The Hillsborough County ID card program is set to launch in the coming months, with residents encouraged to begin the application process as soon as possible. More information about the program, including application requirements and fees, can be found on the Hillsborough County Clerk of the Circuit Court and Comptroller’s website.
