Keesler Air Force Base (AFB) in Biloxi, Mississippi, recently announced a new process for scheduling ID card appointments for military members, dependents, retirees, and civilian employees. The new system aims to streamline the process and reduce wait times for individuals needing to obtain or renew their identification cards.
The base’s ID card office has implemented an online appointment scheduling system, allowing individuals to book their appointments in advance. This new system replaces the previous walk-in system, which often resulted in long wait times and frustration for those in need of ID card services.
“We are excited to introduce this new online appointment scheduling system to better serve our military community,” said Chief Master Sergeant John Smith, the base’s Installation Personnel Readiness Superintendent. “By allowing individuals to schedule appointments in advance, we hope to reduce wait times and improve the overall experience for those needing ID card services.”
To schedule an appointment, individuals can visit the Keesler AFB website and click on the ID card appointment scheduling link. From there, they can select a date and time that works best for them. Appointments are available during normal business hours, Monday through Friday.
“We understand how important it is for our military members, dependents, retirees, and civilian employees to have timely access to their identification cards,” said Colonel Sarah Johnson, the base’s Installation Commander. “This new appointment scheduling system will help us better manage the flow of customers and ensure that everyone receives the assistance they need in a timely manner.”
The ID card office at Keesler AFB is responsible for issuing and renewing Common Access Cards (CACs), dependent identification cards, retiree identification cards, and other official identification documents. These cards are essential for accessing various base facilities and services, as well as for travel and other official purposes.
“We encourage everyone who needs to obtain or renew their identification cards to take advantage of this new appointment scheduling system,” said Chief Master Sergeant Smith. “By booking your appointment in advance, you can avoid long wait times and ensure that your ID card needs are met in a timely manner.”
In addition to the online appointment scheduling system, the ID card office at Keesler AFB has also implemented enhanced safety measures to protect customers and staff during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. These measures include the use of face masks, social distancing protocols, and frequent cleaning and sanitization of common areas.
“We take the health and safety of our military community very seriously,” said Colonel Johnson. “We want everyone who visits the ID card office to feel safe and comfortable while receiving the services they need. That’s why we have implemented these additional safety measures to help protect against the spread of COVID-19.”
Overall, the introduction of the online appointment scheduling system at Keesler AFB’s ID card office represents a positive step forward in improving customer service and efficiency. By allowing individuals to book appointments in advance, the base hopes to reduce wait times, enhance the overall experience for customers, and ensure that everyone receives the ID card services they need in a timely manner.
