Utah Launches New Design for State ID Cards

SALT LAKE CITY – The Utah Department of Public Safety announced today the launch of a new design for state-issued identification cards. The updated design features enhanced security features and a modern aesthetic to improve the overall user experience.

“Our goal with this new design is to provide Utah residents with a secure and user-friendly identification card that meets the highest standards of quality and security,” said John Doe, Director of the Utah Department of Public Safety. “We believe that this updated design will not only enhance the security of our state ID cards but also make it easier for residents to access essential services and benefits.”

The new Utah ID card features a modern look with a sleek layout and color scheme. The front of the card includes the cardholder’s photograph, full name, date of birth, and signature. The back of the card features a barcode, expiration date, and a secure holographic overlay to prevent counterfeiting or tampering.

In addition to the updated design, the new Utah ID cards will also include enhanced security features such as a UV ink marking and microprint text to further deter fraud and identity theft. These security features are designed to meet the latest industry standards and requirements for state-issued identification cards.

“We are committed to protecting the identity and privacy of Utah residents,” said Jane Smith, Deputy Director of the Utah Department of Public Safety. “By implementing these enhanced security features, we are taking proactive measures to prevent fraud and ensure the integrity of our state ID card program.”

The new Utah ID cards will be available for renewal or replacement starting next month. Current cardholders can apply for the new design at any DMV office or online through the Utah Department of Public Safety website. The cost for a new Utah ID card remains the same at $25 for a standard ID and $35 for a REAL ID-compliant card.

“We are excited to introduce this new design and provide Utah residents with a state-of-the-art identification card that meets their needs and expectations,” said John Doe. “We believe that this updated design will not only enhance the security of our ID cards but also improve the overall user experience for our residents.”

The Utah Department of Public Safety encourages residents to apply for the new ID cards as soon as possible to take advantage of the enhanced security features and modern design. With identity theft and fraud on the rise, having a secure and reliable form of identification is essential for accessing services, benefits, and opportunities in today’s society.
